Did You Feel Emotion?

 Hello, Bonjour, This week at school for writing we have been writing a fictional story to make our reader feel emotion. The reason we have done a story like this is because our learning intention is to deepen our understanding of descriptive language by creating feelings for our reader, such as empathy. We also looked into short sentences. After you have read my story please comment down below. Did you like my story? Did I use good descriptive language?

My legs shake. My hands shake. I see the dark, cold, room. I gloomily walk in and see my dog helplessly lying there. On a cold metal surgical table. I feel a lump in my throat as if there is a metal ball rolling around. I smell the dusty musty air. I start  saying goodbye to Boris. I say sorry for all the mean things I have said. I see the pain in Boris's eyes. I pat him. I think back to the first day we met. The feeling of my sole shrinking and turning hollow gets worse. I  begin losing hope. The pain starts to grow. Memories start to come back. I wish that we could play fetch, just one more time. While I whisper “don't die,  Please don't die” He starts to close his eyes. My tears start to bubble up in my eyes. I can’t take it any more, I have to let it out, so I do. I wonder, when Boris goes to heaven will he see his dead mum again?I then look over. The nurse comes in with a needle and says “it's time,” She starts to inject him, but he jumps up and starts dancing and singing. How did he do that? I wonder. “Are you sure he is sick?” The nurse said. “I think he is OK, it’s a miracle” Next thing I know Boris is flat on the floor as dead as a rock. 

The day the crayons quit

This is a piece of writing that I did called The Day The Crayons Quit. The day the crayon quit is were  crayons write a letter to a boy named Duncan.

But we just wrote ours to anyone.  

H is for Sloth

Here is my D.L.O it stands for: Digital Learning Object. 

I was using alliteration to describe what my animal does.  

This is mine, I did:  ‘H is for Sloth’.

I created my DLO using Google Drawings.  

In Drawings I can use WordArt (I used this to create 

my heading), change the background colour, insert images 

and write in a text box so the text is able to be moved 

around the page.

Baking in Lockdown.

Room 14’s Class Treaty

      

Our class has a treaty that is made
of four values, Care,Share,Learn
and Grow. The four values represent
lots of different sayings and things
you need to do. The values also
represent houses. You can be in either
Red house, Blue house, Green house or
Yellow house. When you start school in
year 1 you get assigned to a house. I am
red house. This year I want to work on
Learn, to have a go at new learning. 

Spelling

This is my spelling that I had to do for 2-3 weeks. We had to get a definition
of the word and synonyms plus antonyms then we had to write a sentence
with the word. 

Information Report

This is my information report where we had to get facts about the Pouakai
and then write them down in notes, under the right category.

giant for a day

This is my slide show giant for a day to imagine what it would be like to go to bed normally and then wake up and be giant.

For storytelling we are doing the story Gentle Giant. so we had to design what we think the giant would look like.

This is my postcard we have been doing postcards to send to another school. We got an object out of a tin. Had to follow instructions. The instructions said we had to create a word bank by feeling it. The words on there are the words I came up with.
